Anyone who, for some reason, still thought that Heather Mills was a victim of the horrid media should have realized how wrong they were after her hysterical outburst outside the High Court. She utterly lost any remaining credibility when she flipped after the judge who handed the former porn model turned fantasist £25 million said he would reveal his findings. And reading them you can see why.
Justice Bennett said of Mills: “”I am driven to the conclusion that much of her evidence, both written and oral, was not just inconsistent and inaccurate but also less than candid. Overall she was a less than impressive witness.”
Of her claims she was wealthy before she married McCartney: “I have to say I cannot accept the wife’s case that she was wealthy and independent by the time she met the husband in the middle of 1999.”
And what about her boasts she paid 70-80% of her earnings to charity: he said her accounts “disclose no charitable giving at all”.
If she has any brains Mills will quietly retreat into the shadows and count her cash. The sum of £25 million is more than she could have hoped for when she set out on her relationship with McCartney, and with her credibility shredded by the media and now a judge, she would be wise to bow out.
Wisdom and judgment, however, are not her strong suits.
